Mainman Ryan Lee West over ‘Articulation’: Its structure is very machine-like, but I was really interested in how melody and sense of story could develop out of this, and it became an exploration of mathematical structures. Eigenlijk is de plaat heel visueel tot stand gekomen door een eigen soort muziekschrift te gebruiken. En de titel van het album is een verwijzing naar een werk van de Hongaars-Oostenrijkse contemporaine avant-garde componist Gyorgi Ligeti.
