Zeker de beginalbums van The Ex zijn klassiekers. Vandaar dat die sinds vorig jaar (‘Disturbing…’ en ‘History…’) structureel worden heruitgebracht op lp, precies zoals de originele versie met posters, booklets en pamfletten. ‘Tumult’ uit 1983 is het derde Ex studioalbum. Veertig jaar oud, maar nog steeds up-to-date. Geproduceerd door o.a. Jon Langford (The Mekons). De pers: What they lack in pure originality, gets compensated by their passion and devotion. In a time which many of their contemporaries have switched their brain off, the primeval music of The Ex sounds really beneficial.
