Vassalotti is vooral bekend als lead-gitarist van 4AD band Merchandise. Pas op zijn derde soloalbum krijgt zijn talent als gitarist en multi-instrumentalist de volle ruimte om te schitteren. Daarvoor had hij wel de productie nodig van Merchandise frontman Carson Cox. Wie kan zo mooi sad guitar spelen? Wie weet melancholie zo goed te doseren?
